Feeling Stressed Or Depressed? Try Some Flowers!

from: WeSendFlowers.com

Lovely flower gardens have been part of our world for millenia. Yet, flowers don't provide us with food, clothing fibers, or any other item considered mandatory for survival. So, why do we spend such a great deal of time planting and caring for flowers? A study conducted at Rutgers School, the state College of New Jersey, offers systematic explanation that flowers do provide happiness, certainly a prerequisite for our emotional well being. The study was conducted under the direction of Jeannette M. Haviland-Jones, Ph.D, who is a therapist and internationally known expert in emotional development in human behavior. Haviland-Jones announced,'What's most thrilling about this report is that it challenges established systematic ideology about how folks can manage their daily moods in a natural and healthy way.' The study lasted for ten months and produced evidence of the following : Flowers instantly affect contentment.

The impact of flowers is positive and long term. Flowers help to enable connections between folks.

In the stressed world we reside in, isn't it good to know that by taking the easy step of buying flowers, you can swiftly enhance your own mood or somebody else's? And, better yet, the flowers you purchase for yourself will make people who see them content too. Just put them in a high traffic area like the entryway to your house, on your kitchen table, or in the family's sitting room.

Dr. Haviland-Jones agrees, asserting,'Flowers cause positive emotional feelings in those who enter a room. They make the space more welcoming and make a sharing atmosphere.' wish to help the mood of your workers and customers? Place flowers in your lobby and in areas used by your people, like the break room, cafe, or meeting rooms.

You may benefit by having a more lovely workplace and you will see more smiles round the office. Improved morale can also increase worker productiveness, so your tiny acquisition of flowers may result in big returns! Your florist will help you select the ideal flowers for all occasions and can often help you pick the right flowers to match the recipients personality or the space they will be placed in. Just pick up the telephone and call or visit the flower shop to debate what you want and what you would like to achieve.
